ESP provided construction materials testing and Special Inspections for this new 4,893-square-foot, single-story gas station with a high cupola roof, at-grade parking, drive areas, fuel island, underground storage tanks (UST’s), and utility infrastructure. The site is located along the north side of Falls of Neuse Road and Wakefield Pines Drive in an undeveloped lot in Raleigh, NC.
Structural framing included steel columns and beams, wood panelized wall systems, and wood roof trusses. Services included concrete and asphaltic pavement testing, in-place soil/rock density, bearing materials evaluation, reinforcing steel placement, high-strength bolting and steel frame erection, and structural welding inspections.
