Hazard Mitigation

ESP has been working with communities to address hazard risk reduction for more than 20 years helping communities develop hazard mitigation plans to protect their people, property, and prosperity.

ESP’s hazard mitigation department specializes in developing and implementing hazard mitigation plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to meet the necessary requirements of, and approved by, FEMA. Hazard mitigation plans are required by FEMA, under 44 CFR §201.6 (Local Mitigation Plans) in order for communities to remain eligible for certain types of federal pre and post-disaster funding.
