Ditesco, an ESP company, is partnering with Colorado State University to improve connectivity between the university’s south and main campuses. An existing gravel path is being transformed into a shared-use trail for both pedestrians and cyclists, including construction of a new pedestrian bridge to enhance safety and access to existing trails.

Our team developed the civil engineering plans and specifications for the trail, ensuring full compliance with Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) standards. The design effort included concrete curb and gutter modifications, concrete trail installation along the existing aggregate base course trail, and installation of the new pedestrian bridge.

As the project transitions into construction, our team will provide construction administration services. We’ll oversee contract management, review submittals and RFIs, and provide resident engineering services to ensure the trail is built according to the plans and specifications that our team developed.

CivilCorp, also part of the ESP enterprise team of companies, provided structural analysis and design for the abutment of the new pedestrian bridge.
