In support of a streetscape project within the Wheeling Central Business District, ESP provided subsurface utility exploration, mobile lidar mapping, and conventional survey services for approximately 2.1 miles of roadway on Main, Market, 16th, and Eoff Streets and their corresponding crossroads. Our team performed all necessary survey control needed for the mobile lidar and conventional surveying required to locate obscured storm drainage and sanitary sewer structures within the project limits. To check for voids along the face of the buildings, ESP utilized a LMX100 GPR cart and noted any voids with the designation “possible void, further investigation recommended.” All mapping was done to the level of accuracy and standards as per West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) Design Directives.
