Carowinds is a 398-acre amusement park located adjacent to Interstate 77 on the border of Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC.
Since 2010, ESP has been a trusted partner and consultant to park owner Cedar Fair Entertainment, providing a complete range of professional services in support of planning, design, and construction for more than a dozen projects, including rides, attractions, facilities, entertainment venues, and infrastructure improvements.
To-date, we have supported the addition of the 4.9-acre Aeronautica Landing theme area, a 3.2-acre picnic pavilion, and rides such as SlingShot, Copperhead Strike, and the award-winning Fury 325, world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster.
Also, as part of a $50M expansion, ESP provided services for major renovations to various park areas, including the main park entrance, Camp Snoopy children’s area, and 27-acre Carolina Harbor water park.
