ESP is celebrating with our valued client, NC Department of Transportation, on FIMAN-T (Flood Inundation Mapping and Alert Network for Transportation) receiving a 2024 Environmental Excellence Award from the Federal Highway Administration!
This web-based tool supports disaster response and planning during flood events by providing visualization and metrics for real-time and forecasted flood inundation depths along thousands of miles of roads, bridges, and other NCDOT assets.
An accompanying tool, T-SAPP (Transportation Surge Analysis Prediction Program) helps transportation officials and emergency managers better plan for potential roadway flooding and equipment stationing needed for disaster response during forecasted hurricanes and tropical storms.
