CivilCorp, an ESP company, provided design, engineering, and survey services for 0.65 miles of two southbound lanes to complete the four-lane boulevard section from the I-69 Eastbound Frontage Road to Stella Road. Design included 25-foot typical width concrete pavement with curb and gutter, storm sewer, left turn lanes, and a 120-foot, three-span bridge crossing Seabourne Creek. Our team performed drainage analysis for the new bridge crossing and coordinated with the city and the Fort Bend County Drainage District to avoid adverse impacts to surrounding properties.
Our team was responsible for establishing right-of-way lines, which required verification and supplementation of the existing control from previous construction projects and a full topographic survey, including a tree inventory for the project limits. A UAS was utilized to provide updated imagery of the project and additional data for 3D modeling. We also identified and incorporated pedestrian accommodations, including ramps and crosswalk striping, and coordinated with utility companies during design to evaluate potential conflicts.
