Town of Firestone Broadband Right-of-Way Inspection
The Town of Firestone permitted the use of its right-of-way for the installation of a fully underground, high-speed broadband network to improve community connectivity and expand digital access. Ditesco, an ESP Company, was contracted by the town to provide part-time construction management support—serving as an owner’s representative to help ensure the network is built responsibly and in alignment with public infrastructure standards. The fiber build, led by a private broadband contractor, is expected to be completed over an 18-month construction period.

To facilitate this work, the town granted access to the public right-of-way (ROW) under specific conditions, including design compliance with plats, sector-based permit submittals, and delivery of record drawings and utility mapping based on pothole data. Our scope of services includes reviewing design submittals and permit applications for ROW compliance, supporting project coordination, tracking construction progress, performing field inspections, and managing punch list and closeout activities. Our role helps the town maintain oversight, ensure adherence to right-of-way construction standards, and protect public assets during this large-scale broadband deployment.
