Larimer County’s Acute Care Facility is the first building at the Behavioral Health Services at Longview Campus. Spanning 60,000 square feet, this state-of-the art facility provides specialized care for the entire county of over 360,000 residents. The project included complex, multi-level building construction on a 35-acre site and extensive stakeholder collaboration with multiple entities, including Larimer County, City of Loveland, and City of Fort Collins.
Ditesco, an ESP company, was contracted as the owner’s representative to provide comprehensive program, project, and construction management services. Our role included design management, permitting, entitlement, contractor selection, and management. When construction began, our role expanded to include services outside of the initial scope to save on project costs, including quality management and civil engineering. Engrained in all facets of project delivery, our team was able to manage the project holistically.
Our team performed quality-level inspections, specialty inspections for structural, steel, and welding, and bolt inspections during construction. We also played a key role in the implementation of a private lift station for the facility. Our team assisted with the implementation of a hydrogen sulfide monitoring system at the lift station, coordinated with the contractor to solicit and contract with a qualified electrical and instrumentation firm to complete this installation, and assisted with the lift station pump and panel installation and programming.
