ESP provided services for the construction of a new pump station, sewer alignment, and single-lane gravel access road in Union County. The sewer alignment will extend from the proposed pump station east of Rehobeth Road along Waxhaw Farms Road to Old Waxhaw-Monroe Road. The pump station area will consist of a wet well, prefabricated electrical building, chemical storage tanks, and radio tower.
ESP provided geotechnical exploration services to evaluate the general subsurface conditions along the sewer alignment, proposed pump station, and roadway to support design and construction of foundations, pavements, and below-grade walls. Rock coring was required to achieve necessary boring depths at several locations, and field resistivity testing was performed for the proposed sewer alignment. ESP provided a Geotechnical Design Report and Geotechnical Data Report.
Laboratory testing consisted of consolidated undrained triaxial shear, unconfined compression of soil and rock, one-dimensional swell, natural moisture content, grain size distribution, atterberg limits, standard proctor compaction, and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) testing. ESP also provided construction materials testing services, including subgrade evaluation, foundation bearing materials evaluations, concrete testing, and field density testing.
ESP also delivered a Civil 3D file with tax parcel and ground surface information from state lidar and GIS data.
