Don’t miss the New Mexico Floodplain Managers Associates (NMFMA) 2025 Fall Workshop starting today and continuing through Thursday 11/6 at the Santa Ana Star Hotel & Casino in Bernalillo, NM.
ESP’s Director of Surface Water/Hazards/GIS, Matthew Dudley, PE, CFM, will be presenting on “Recent Flood Warning Efforts in North Carolina.” North Carolina was an early adopter and advocate for a statewide flood warning system which became known as the Flood Inundation Mapping and Alert Network (FIMAN). This presentation will provide a brief overview of the application’s functionality followed by a case study of its use during the devasting Hurricane Helene event in western North Carolina in 2024.
