Northern Colorado Regional Airport Terminal Building

The Northern Colorado Regional Airport (FNL), serving communities across Northern Colorado, recently completed a major expansion with a new terminal building designed to enhance its capacity for commercial air service. This $22M project includes a 19,400-square-foot facility, featuring two gates capable of accommodating A320 aircraft.

The project was a partnership between the Northern Colorado Regional Airport, City of Loveland, and City of Fort Collins and featured a full complement of architectural, engineering, project, and construction management services. Ditesco, an ESP company, partnered with Dibble Engineering to manage and implement the new terminal project from conception to its grand opening in November 2024.

During the design phase, our team assisted with design review, permitting, cost review, and contract document preparation (GMP contracts). In the Summer of 2023, the terminal began construction, and our focus shifted to construction management. We performed quality control inspections, risk mitigation, federal grant compliance, and extensive project documentation. Through meticulous planning and coordination between the project team, owners, and key stakeholders, this project was completed on schedule and on budget.
